Santiago de Compostela, Galicia, Spain

Well, it’s finally November, which means Halloween was a couple days ago. A friend of mine, another girl here from America, had a party so of course everybody went all out. I knew that generally, in Spain, Halloween isn’t a big deal, but we didn’t care. However, when I walked over to her flat, NOBODY outside was dressed up in costumes. And I left my place around 10:30PM, which, to me, didn’t seem too early to be dressed up. So, I did the walk of shame down the street looking like this:

I got a lot of confused stares, as if people didn’t know that it was Halloween. I thought about cackling at people and riding on my broom but I didn’t have the courage. I was just concentrating on not tripping on the slippery sidewalk and humiliating myself further.
But anyway, the night was a lot of fun!
