Pulpo!

Finally tried the pulpo (octopus)! The seasoning tasted a little like smoked salmon, and the octopus itself didn’t have too much of a flavor. It wasn’t squishy at all, but very tender.

Santiago and the surrounding area is known for its seafood, and octopus is one of the most popular tapas around here. In fact, there are entire restaurants dedicated just to octopus. I probably couldn’t eat it for an entire meal, or on a pizza or inside an empanada like is popular here, but I’m glad I finally got to try it.
